When I was a child, I often played in the schoolyard with my friends after school. They were all Japanese children. One day I met a unique girl. She looked like the almost same age as me, but her whole body was black. I was really surprised at her because I had first seen the person whose whole body was black for my life at that time. I went away from her soon after I saw her. After I came back to my home, I said to my mother about the girl. “Hey, Mom, there is a strange girl in the schoolyard. Her whole body is black.” My mother said “ She might be a Black.” I asked her again. “Black?” She answered “She might be an African American. African American’s whole body is black. African Americans are often discriminated in their country.” I feel sorry if she is discriminated in her country. “I’d like to be friend with her so that she is not picked on. How should I do to be a friend with her?”, My mother answered, “How about asking her name? Say ‘what’s your name?’ in English.” There was her in the schoolyard on the next day too. I went near her and I asked “ What’s your name?” She said “I’m Daisy. What’s your name?” I said my name and I run away form her soon again. I said to my mother “She speaks English. But I don’t know English. How should I do?” My mother said “Say ‘What is this?’ with pointing at something.” When I saw her next time, I asked her with pointing the playground equipment in the schoolyard. “What’s is this?” “It’s a jungle gym.” “What’s is this?” “It’s a slide.” “What’s is this?” “It’s an iron bar.” “What’s is this?” “It’s a seesaw.” “What’ is this?” “It’s a swing.” and so on. When I become to speak English with limited vocabularies, I asked her the reason why she came to our school. She said there was a heavy rain in Tokyo, so she evacuated from her house to her relative’s house near here for a few months. She was a very strong-willed girl, but the things she said were almost right, except one. She said to me, “You have a brain tumor, Any doctor can’t cure it.” I felt sad when she said such lie. Because she had been always right, I have no choice but to believe her. I looked for a person that could cure the disease which a doctor can’t cure. Because I heard a self-defense military knew things that citizens didn’t know, So I thought perhaps the self-defense military could cure my disease. There was a big earthquake around my town and then there was heavy rain near the town and there was a big landslide near my house. So there were the self-defense militaries near my house to repair the road. I went to the self-defense military to have my disease cured.
