It was late autumn, in November.
Around first snow of the season with mixed sleet, Kyoko went back her parents’ house in N town, Akita, with Saori.
Though her parents were getting old, they were healthy.
The house was so spacious that Kyoko and Saori could easily live there.
There was no problem for them to live there.
They were allowed to use rooms in a separate house upstairs, which was built about twenty years ago and led to the main house by a hallway with wide windows.
The separate house’s downstairs area was used as a storehouse.
