Long long ago, various hawks met together.
And they were partying.
大昔、色々のタカが集まって酒盛りをしている所へ・・・

A tiny Wren came there and it said "Can I join?"
・・・小さなミソサザイがやって来て、僕も仲間に入れて下さいと言ったそうです．

The hawks looked down on the wren.
And they said "If you want to join us, hunt and bring a boar! If you hunt and bring a boar, you may join in our party."

鷹の同勢は、これを馬鹿にして、この仲間に入りたければイノシシを捕ってくるがいい．

猪を捕ってきたら酒盛りに加えてやろうと言いました．

Soon, the Wren flew away.
そうすると、ミソサザイはすぐに飛んでいって・・・

A boar was sleeping in a bush.
・・・藪の中に寝ている猪の・・・

The Wren threw itself into an ear of the boar.
・・・耳の中に飛び込みました．
