ＷＥＢ絵本「夕ぐれ」

The dusk of a day of a vivid season reminded me of my friendship.
水々しい季節の夕ぐれが、友情を呼んだ．

I went to see the friend;
On the way I passed though a snaky slope.
その友に逢いに行く途中、くねくねうねった坂を通った．

Green leaves were trembling around the slope;
Soft lights were in sight.
坂のまわりに青葉はゆれ、やさしい燈もみえていた．

Dark rock and dusty houses were tangled up;
Naturally the road led to a blind alley.
黒ずんだ崖石や、埃っぽい家屋がもつれて、路は自ずと袋路に入った．

Then, from the front door of a house,
Suddenly the face of the friend appeared.
すると或る軒の玄関から、ひょいと、その友の顔が現れた．

"We had a good time at that evening, didn't we?" the friend said pretty later.
あの晩は娯しかったね、と、ずうっと後になって、その友は云うのであった．
