犀の背中 (A Stroll with a Rhino)

"Rhino horns are made out of fur."

"Fur?"

"Precisely. The horn of a rhino is actually a clump of fur."

I remembered the feel of the roughness of the horn when I was desperately clinging to the rhino not so long ago.

"And so, it's impossible to 'Walk your own path, like the horn of a rhino'".

I ponder the reason why the rhino would suddenly be bringing this up upon parting ways.

"'No man is an island'- is that what you're saying?"

"That is not what I'm saying. It's just that, if a person does happen to be walking alone, that is nothing like being the horn of a rhino."
