Dark clouds appeared, summoned wind and storm. I could hear footsteps walking pass the darken hallway. It must be The Green Face Monster! I shouted in my heart. yellow light could be seen through the cracks of my wooden door. It is here, it is here! I panicked, grabbed the flash light, and quickly pulls the blanket over my body. I’m going to proof that the green face monster is real! The light disappeared just in front of my bedroom. Door knob turned. I stayed as still as possible, waiting for my chance. The green face monster appears in my room every storming night. I pretended to be asleep, and it will go away naturally. I used to have a sneak at its face when the lightning dropped, and oh, what a nightmare. It was all green! The creature must be living in a mud. It never does me harm, but it still scares me to the bone. I told my mom about it, but she never believed me. I tried to convince my dad instead. He burst out laughing and choke on his morning coffee. I couldn’t understand why, but my mom was pretty mad. She said it is just my imagination. I’m going to proof her wrong, tonight. I could see the monster’ white robe approaching. It is now or never! “Aha!” I jumped up, pressed the button as hard as I could. Flashlight flickered. The monster screams, trying to protect its eyes from the bright light. The face is green, with white plastic covers its head. The white robe it is wearing somehow looks very familiar. It looks quite like my mom’s nightgown. “What’s wrong?” my dad came rushing in. “Dad, look! it is the green face monster! I told you it is real!” I ran to my dad, with flashlight pointing at the monster. “…What monster, Jackob? I don’t see anything” My dad took my flashlight, turned it away from the monster. “It is there, why can’t you see it! Oh no, listen, the footstep! it is running away!” I grabbed my dad’s hand, directing it to the hallway, but he wouldn’t let me. Instead, he turned on my room’s light. “There is nothing, see?” Of course there’s nothing. It has ran away! I keep on telling my dad that I was telling the truth, but he wouldn’t listen. He said it is because I’m too excited for my first day at school tomorrow. He puts me back to sleep. Maybe my dad can’t see it? Oh, I know! Next time, I will try to take a picture of it. I thought so to myself. A soft laugh could be heard from my parent’s room. My dad sounds amused, while my mom sounds annoyed.
